Black Light White Light hails from the capital Copenhagen, Denmark. The band resonates sunny psychedelic rock with a bohemian touch swept in a modern Spectorish sound quivering your spine like a crimson sky in a desert valley.

The band formed in 2009 around singer/guitarist Martin Ejlertsen, who is surrounded by brothers Adam Winberg (drums) and Tobias Winberg (bass/guitar) and live as well Jesper Van Rasmussen (bass). On September 24 2011 the band releases the album Infrared Daylight. The album was recorded in North Hollywood, CA with international acclaimed producer Rick Parker (Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, Dandy Warhols, Von Bondies, Miranda Lee Richards) and mastered in Los Angeles, CA by Dave Cooley (The Black Angels, Darker My Love, Serge Gainsbourg, Local Natives, Dangermouse etc.).

But already before releasing the debut album things are speeding for the Danes. Black Light White Light has played all over Scandinavia with bands like The Soundtrack Of Our Lives (S), Crocodiles (US), Crystal Antlers (US) and The Blue Van (DK). In June 2011 the band performed at the great NXNE Music Festival in Toronto Canada and in the beginning of September the band headed on a promotion tour in UK. With a forthcoming US tour in October as well as coming dates around Europe to support the album release Black Light White Light may very well be the next big rock act from Denmark following internationally acclaimed fellows The Raveonettes.

This classic three piece outfit digs deep and plays with a mutual love for 1960s rock n' roll and soul, as well as neo-psychedelic rock like The Brian Jonestown Massacre and The Black Angels and 1990s British rock and shoegazers and rock acts like The Jesus and Mary Chain and Oasis. In April 2010 the band released its debut Directors Cut - EP recorded in Gothenburg, Sweden with Swedish award winning producer Johan Forsman (The Soundtrack Of Our Lives, Jens Lekman etc.). This album created some buzz and attention in US by being invited to play at SXSW Music Festival and later same year to Los Angels, California to record the debut album in North Hollywood;CA with producer Rick Parker.
